This is particularly true if you have a history of high blood pressure or heart disease, or if you have ever experienced chest pain when exercising or have experienced chest pain in the past month when not engaged in physical activity. If you, the human smokes, has high cholesterol, is overweight, or you have a bone or joint problem that could be made worse by a change in physical activity please check with your physician prior to starting this or any fitness program. Do not start this fitness program if your physician or health care provider advises against it. If you experience faintness, dizziness, pain or shortness of breath at any time while exercising you should stop immediately.
It is recommended that dogs see a vet specializing in rehabilitation and canine fitness prior to starting this program. Dogs that are limping or injured should not participate in this fitness program.

All FOL exercises are performed with the assistance of a spotter and only on soft surfaces such as grass or rubber matting.
For the safety of dogs, all FOL exercises are practiced or performed in fenced areas.
